Surefire Ways To Achieve Better Stress Management On Your Own

Posted by tapsihapsi - December 27th, 2011

Some people have this false misconception that stress is a condition beyond their grasp or control. As a result, they fail to employ proper stress management techniques when in fact there are a lot of ways for you to control it instead of the other way around.

Struggling with stress? Here are some effective ways you can use to finally win over your battle with it.

Identifying Symptoms of Stress

When it comes to stress management, self-help is just as effective. But you cannot take steps to combatting signs of stress if you cannot recognize the symptoms for this condition. Hence, you must start by identifying the symptoms of stress. Some of the most common ones include the following:

? Muscle pain or tension
? Headaches
? Sweating and dizziness
? Bowel problems
? Nausea
? Tensed feeling all over your body
? Feeling of irritability
? Memory failure
? Insomnia

In addition to the above symptoms, one could also develop severe problems resulting from stress such as asthma, high blood pressure, and other problems of the heart.

Stress Management Methods

Your ability to manage stress could make the difference in your life. It would also enable you to overcome the physical, emotional, and mental impact of too much stress and worry in life. It is not enough that you come to identify the symptoms of stress. You need to act on it and make an effort to correct them!

Once you begin to move beyond basic background information, you begin to realize that there’s more to Stress Management than you may have first thought.

Below are practical stress management methods you can employ.

Problem Identification and Finding Solution

In any problem, you need to start by identifying the source of the problem. Without this knowledge, there is no way for you to identify the best solution. According to experts, identifying the problem means half of the battle is won. It enables you to regain control over the situation and better understand your condition.

Avoiding Source of Stress

Once you have identified the main source of your stress, your best approach is to avoid them or steer clear off them. For example, if a certain type of environment or being around a particular group of people is causing you stress or making you feel unhealthy, then it would be best for you to take them out of the equation in your life. Instead, re-focus your attention toward something more useful and substantial while drawing out positive vibes out of it.

Control Your Emotions

Learn how to take charge over your feelings. Identification of the source of stress will enable you to achieve this. You need to inspire yourself to think only positive thoughts and constantly reassure yourself that it is you who is in control of your emotions and avoid it from overpowering you instead. You can divert your problems into other more significant activities, such as engaging in sports, hobbies, or going on a vacation. There is no reason to dwell on things that is causing you to harbor ill or negative feelings.

Live Healthy!

The most obvious yet challenging step towards stress management is to adapt a healthy lifestyle. How do you do this? You need to start with your body. Since this is the first one affected by stress, you need to begin with taking care of your body. Make sure that you are well rested such that you can enable your mind and body to rejuvenate itself. Avoid drinking or smoking since these are unhealthy solutions to stress; in fact, it will only make things worse!

Those who only know one or two facts about Stress Management can be confused by misleading information. The best way to help those who are misled is to gently correct them with the truths you’re learning here.

Adding Cuponk On The Wish List

Posted by tapsihapsi - December 26th, 2011

As we are all people, we will always want new things, whether it is to be worn or stuff to own for personal use or for homes. Most of us do not want to wait for special holiday seasons or special events, as it is nice to buy or receive things for no reason at all. Having said that, perhaps you may have overlooked adding Cuponk on your wish list, which could be inhibiting you from having some of the best times of your life.

Fun For Everyone!

For adults, they can start playing with their kids, spending quality time together, something necessary for close family ties. Adults can also enjoy Cuponk with their own friends, turning a dinner party into something memorable. It is a hot game that is made for everyone, regardless of age or gender.

Contents

The game involves performing trick shots, where the ball must make its way into the special cup in a way that is directed on the trick cards you have drawn. Consumers will get a special cup that will light up and make sounds when the special balls make their way into the cups. There is a deck of cards that depicts the different tricks the players are expected to perform.

Affordable

Not only is a lot of fun, but it is also a very inexpensive method of good, clean fun. It costs under $30 and will provide you and your whole family with years of fun, either at home or at a friends house, or even on vacation.

The Rules Of The Game

The rules of the game allow for everything in the home to be allowable. That means that you can bank the ball off the wall, use the stairs, the ceiling, or what have you. It is all legal. What makes this game even more special than most others is the fact that all ages can play at once. So, a family with different age groups can enjoy a few games together, without any real concern for damages, as the balls are quite light. It’s kind of like Beer Pong Rules, but without the beer.

Fun For A Long Time

Unfortunately, we live in a time where there is global economic insecurity. That means people have to tighten their belts and stay home more often. Staying home and watching television is okay once in a while, but doing it all the time is really wasting time. Making it more exciting by laughing and having good times is the way it should be.

A Family Event

Lets face it, it is only the pleasant things that remain in our memories, and those involved being with people we love, having a good time, laughing and doing silly things. It is probably safe to say that watching television would not be a memorable moment.

Thankfully, we have great games, like Cuponk to help us turn a boring evening into something more exciting. Games like these could also create stronger family ties. It’s a great game to bring home at any time of the year, just because you want to spend time with your family, and it’s also a great game to give as a gift. A family Beer Pong game!

Stress Management When it Comes to Work

Posted by tapsihapsi - December 26th, 2011

Do you ever feel like you know just enough about Stress Management to be dangerous? Let’s see if we can fill in some of the gaps with the latest info from Stress Management experts.

If there were one thing that is inevitable for people, that would be stress. This is because people?regardless of nationality, gender and career status?always feel stress very often in their lifetime. Studies show that lack of stress management can give a person a negative outlook in life and can even suffer from major health problems.

Stress at the work place

Studies show that working condition in the workplace is among the top reasons why many people suffer from stress. This is because people are exposed to various factors such as working with other people that have different sets of values and ethics, meeting job demands as well as meeting the expectations of the boss/es.

Being stressed in the workplace is not a new occurrence but it has evolved in years. Maybe because of the changing times, stress in the workplace has become more intense and the people within have become more competitive. In this set up, people or employees who are not used to heavy environment tend to prone to stress attacks more often.

Stress in the workplace happens when there are excessive challenges and demands of work, pressures which hinders people’s abilities in handling such circumstances, and the demands and satisfaction has become exhausting and more frustrating. When this happens, there can be physical and emotional changes that can drastically affect not just the employees but the entire nature of the businesses as well.

To avoid these effects in the workplace and in the business, it is best for employees as well as employers to familiarize themselves about the job stressors present. By knowing this, employees can recognize the source of stress and employers can make an action plan to somehow alleviate it.

The most common job stressors include specific work factors such as tedious tasks, excessive loads of work, low pay despite extended hours of work, absurd demands in performance rates, and short rest breaks.

Another would be the physical environment itself especially if the area is overcrowded and noisy, with poor ventilation, and presence of safety and health such as improper placement of equipment and toxic chemicals.

Organizational practices can also be a job stressor especially if there is vague set of expectations and responsibilities, conflict in demands in job, presence of so many bosses, poor decision-making habits, problems in communication lines, and absence of policies that can benefit the employee’s family members.

Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following:

Minor job stressors would include change in workplace that leads employees to have unspoken fear in terms if job tenure, inconsistent turnover of personnel, absence of readiness when it comes to changes in technology or no room for promotion and recognition and interpersonal relationships including distant bosses, office politics, competitiveness of other employees and the like.

Dispelling stress in the workplace

To effectively manage stress in the workplace, employees must:

- Have time to getaway if stress building up;

- Take a break and do some minor activities such as walking or strolling nearby or siting on a park bench near the area and do some exercise or listen to relaxing music;

- Talk it out with a friend or a loved one to help relieve some burden of work;

- Build camaraderie at the workplace to ensure that there will be people who can back you up when the going gets tough;

- Don?t be too serious because it will only make the job stressors double in weight; and

- Change job if your stress management ways are not working.

Sometimes it’s tough to sort out all the details related to this subject, but I’m positive you’ll have no trouble making sense of the information presented above.
